1. The short version
We don't use marketing cookies. We don't track you across the web. Our analytics is cookieless and IP-anonymised.
You don't need to click an annoying banner to use sifotech.co.uk.
2. What we use
Cookieless analytics: we use Plausible-style analytics that count page views without setting any cookies and without storing personally-identifying information. IP addresses are hashed and discarded.
Vercel analytics:our host's built-in analytics is anonymous and aggregate-only. No cookies are set.
Strictly-necessary state: we may set short-lived first-party cookies or localStorage entries to remember things like your preferred theme. These are not used for tracking.
3. What we don't use
- Marketing or advertising cookies.
- Third-party trackers (Meta, X, TikTok, Google Ads).
- Session-replay tools.
- Fingerprinting libraries.
4. Embedded content
When we embed a video or third-party tool (rare) we use the privacy-enhanced mode where available. If that's not available we link out instead of embedding.
5. Changes
If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie, this page will list it and you'll see a banner asking for consent before it's set.
